She was a constant support, easy to communicate with, flexible and helped lift my spirits when the wedding stress was getting to me. She took the time to get to know me and knowing someone understood my vision calmed my nerves. She was mindful of our tight budget and made a plan to capture our key moments. She really knows how to capture the real emotion of the day, capturing gorgeous candids and ‘posed’ photos that really feel natural. One of my favorites was when she had us look into a loved one’s eyes- that look you share between you is so special and really shines with Katie’s photography. She wasn’t afraid to get silly with us which made things even more fun. She truly has an artist’s eye, even with the ‘little touches’ photos I couldn’t stop looking at them. I’m not someone who views themselves as beautiful and she made me feel so beautiful. She listened when I talked about insecurities and a favored side for photos. I thought I would have a few I liked of myself but I loved them all! She also wasn’t afraid to take a few editing requests which I appreciated immensely. The quality of her photos is unmatched. I enjoy that it’s really me, crisp beautiful colors like real life in HD without over done filters or unneeded editing. Lighting and scene framing really highlighted the beauty of the day and the happiness of the subjects.
Just when the high of the actual wedding started to fade, Katie had sneak peeks ready the next day! I couldn’t believe it, it really brightened our day and calmed any anxiety that I wouldn’t be ‘photogenic’. She’s also great with animals – we incorporated our pets in our day and they are some of the best photos I’ve ever seen of our furry boys and you can see our love for them. I will for sure be working with Katie again, there are so many things I want to do. Family portraits, anniversary, more silly photos, I can’t wait. An elopement offers a deeply personal experience, whether you’re exchanging vows on a mountainside or at a charming city hall. You can plan exactly what you want, without involving the opinions of guests and expectations for tradition. It is typically just the couple and a few loved ones, or no one at all, taking place in a stunning location. When it comes to couples who include an adventure, these locations are typically secluded, and often involve hiking or off-roading, a permitting process, and little to no decoration.
A micro or intimate wedding is a small-scale event, usually with around 15 to 30 guests, where the couple hosts a semi-traditional wedding experience. Micro weddings often include elements like a structured ceremony, a seated dinner, and maybe formal dances or an after party. However, there is still a focus on quality over quantity, offering an intentional and meaningful celebration with close friends and family.

Not all elopements need rugged backdrops or complicated logistics. I absolutely love simpler days close to home. I offer a two hour elopement package for locations within an hour and a half drive of the Myrtle area, as well as Charleston and neighboring beaches.
The South Carolina coast offers a perfect blend of breathtaking scenery and easy-to-access locations, making it ideal for couples seeking a relaxed yet meaningful experience. Whether you choose to exchange vows on the beach or in a historic courthouse or city hall, we can follow up the ceremony with portraits nearby along sea grasses or streets with southern charm, a dip in the ocean, a picnic on the sand, or some fun on the boardwalk.
